This mask was a copy made in France that used a black rubber face piece and a rubber head harness. The rubber around the head harness attachment points was also reinforced. NOTES: During the Warsaw Pact years, the Soviet ShM (helmet) style gas mask was used by several different eastern European countries, including Czechoslovakia. For the most part, the Czech. version was very similar to the Russian types, but this version used a special rubber cup which covered the inlet/outlet assembly. It is unknown what this feature was used for, but it is possible that it offered extra protection where a leak could occur. The corrugated rubber hose and the tall filter canister are also very similar to the Soviet models.

NOTES: The M-10 is a copy of the US M17 manufactured by Gumárny Zubrí (Zubrí Rubber). Like the M17, the M-10 uses two internally housed "pork chop" shaped filter elements on either side of the mask. Also like the US M17, the M-10 was issued with a protective outer hood and eye lens outserts. The
M-10 was later updated to incorporate a drinking device and and a better speech diaphragm (see below).

Like its US counterpart, the M-10 M used dual internal filter elements and a special canteen which could be attached to the drinking device. The M-10 M also came with a protective outer hood which covered the whole head and neck. The M-10 M is quite common and can usually be found in complete unissued condition.

The OM-90 is made from brominated butyl rubber and manufactured by Gumárny Zubrí (Zubrí Rubber).
